Saturday, November 4 from 4 to 5 PM, International Center of Photography will host the internationally acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker, photographer and music-video director Andrew Dosunmu for the signing of his new book, Monograph, published by Damiani.

Dosunmu will also be curating a selection of books for the November session of the ICP Photobook Club held on November 18, 11 AM ET.

About the Book
The first photography book by the internationally acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker, photographer, and music video director Andrew Dosunmu, Monograph offers a personal selection of visionary work created over the past 20 years.

Featuring sumptuously colorful images, the book presents the visual world of Dosunmu. Monograph includes stills from Dosunmu’s music videos and the 2022 Netflix film Beauty, as well as portraits of stylish individuals on the streets of Dakar, Mumbai, Cartagena, and elsewhere. Woven together in non-chronological order, images play off one another and are laid out in various orientations.

Throughout his career, Nigerian photographer and filmmaker Andrew Dosunmu has developed a prolific personal body of work that until now has never been published. He came to prominence in the U.S. with music videos for numerous acclaimed artists, and he is the director of Hot Irons, Restless City, Mother of George, Where Is Kyra?, and Beauty, all of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Dosunmu has published his photography in music and fashion magazines such as The Face, Vibe, Fader, Vogue Hommes, Paper, and Interview, and has been commissioned by international brands such as Nike and Adidas. Dosunmu lives between New York City and Lagos, Nigeria.
