LAMM Presents D'Avila at the MoMA PS1 Book Space

Sunday, May 6th, from 4-6PM: Following twinnish, their inaugural interdisciplinary, performance focused poetry event at Artbook @ MoMA PS1, poets and performers Monica McClure and Laura Marie Marciano will continue LAMM, a multidisciplinary, experiential poetry project, with D'Avila. LAMM is a special partnership between McClure and Marciano that places an audience's experience of poetry within the intersections of image, sound, fashion design and performance.

LAMM Presents D'Avila at the MoMA PS1 Book Space

D'Avila will feature:

Topophilia, a collective undertaking by four artists, June Canedo, Justin French, Ment Nelson and Tess Herbert, which employs photography, costume, video, painting and prose to produce a work positioned somewhere between the documentary and the imaginary.

A performance and text Installation by Laura Marie Marciano and Monica McClure, including readings from Wo Chan, Chia-Lun Chang, Jayson P. Smith and Simone Savannah, and appearances by Katy Bohinc, Nastassia Aniceta, Peterbd, Lenny Adler, s.o. O'Brien, Daniel Diaz, Liz Bowen, Maylleline Espinoza and Roxaneth Espinoza.

A Short Film, Say it With Flowers, featuring Coco Fitterman, directed and edited by Rand Rosenberg and written and produced by Monica McClure and Laura Marie Marciano.

A premier poetry performance by Coco Fitterman.

A musical performance by Azia.

The event is free and open to the public, and books and art objects will be for sale, with the authors available for signing.
